RODNEY ODA, CPA joined Fry & Company in May, 1976. Rodney earned his Bachelor of Science in Business degree, with an Accountancy Major, from Miami University. Rodney is currently the tax director of Fry & Company. He is responsible for the preparation of individual, business, estate, and trust returns. He also does tax and estate planning and consulting. Rodney also assists the firm’s clients with selection of business operating structure, accounting issues, and general business consulting. Rodney is a member of the OSCPA and the AICPA. He has been active in various community and civic organizations including the Darke County Endowment for the Arts, Inc., Darke County Visitors Bureau, Inc., Hospice of Darke County, Inc., Darke County Center for the Arts, Inc., and the Darke County United Way. He is currently the Chairman of the Board for the Darke County Historical Society, Inc. and Chairperson for the finance and operations committee for St. Marys Catholic School.
BEV DELK, CPA joined the firm in 1981, working during tax season preparing individual and corporate tax returns. She began working full-time in 1991, and attained her CPA certification in 1994. She is experienced in accounting, audit, and tax work for many types of businesses, with an emphasis in the areas of transportation, agriculture, and retirement plans. For individuals, Bev specializes in tax return preparation and compliance for trusts. Bev is a member of AICPA and OSCPA. Outside of the office, Bev is a member of the Arcanum-Butler Local School District Board of Education, and the Darke County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She has also been a member of the Greenville Toastmaster’s Club for the past nine years. Bev has been married for 50 years to her husband, David, has two daughters and six grandchildren. She and her husband farm 350 acres, and enjoy boating and water sports.
JIM WARD, CPA joined Fry & Company in 1967. During his years with the firm, he has been the director of accounting and audit services. He has been responsible for the technical guidance and support, as well as the professional development, for the firm’s small business clients. Jim has taught various classes and seminars to small business owners for Edison State Community College and the local Chamber of Commerce. Jim is a member of AICPA and OSCPA.
Jeffrey Jones, CPA is a managing partner at Fry & Company with over 35 years of experience in public accounting and tax preparation. He serves as a Registered Principal of Lion Street Financial at JK Jones Financial Network and holds a Series 7 securities license. Jeff works with a wide range of business in terms of size, entity, and complexity providing accounting, tax, and investment services. Jeff has his BBA from Stetson University and his MBA from the University of Dayton.
Tony De Santis, CPA joined Fry & Company in 2018 as managing partner. In addition to his accounting and tax background, Tony has developed a broad range of knowledge related to complex governmental and nonprofit accounting and reporting. To enhance his CPA background, Tony developed skills as a business system analyst, executive coach, and diversity trainer. Tony received a BBA and Masters of Accountancy degrees from Stetson University. He has also worked on a theology and pastoral counseling degree with the Washington Theological Union.
BEN SIMMONS, CPA joined the firm in 2012 and serves as the Manager of the Utility Department. Ben also works extensively with Tax Compliance and QuickBooks engagements. Ben is a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Ben is a past board member for his local Meals on Wheels chapter. In his personal life, Ben enjoys his role as a foster parent and is a sports enthusiast.
BECKY LUCE started at Fry & Company in June, 1984. She has an associate’s degree in accounting from Wright State University. She is the treasurer of Darke County Center for the Arts and president of Lambda Chi Omega Sorority Gamma Epsilon Chapter. She has been married to George for 33 years and is a life-long resident of Greenville.
HEATHER DIRKSEN joined Fry & Company as seasonal help in 2017, while a student at Wright State University. She graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in 2018 and will complete the Masters of Accountancy Degree in 2019, at Wright State as well. She currently resides in Union City, Ohio. In her free time, Heather enjoys camping, golfing, and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys various sports and was a member of the Wright State Club Volleyball team.
JESSICA GOWER joined Fry & Company in September 2003 as the receptionist. In 2009, she moved to a staff accountant position. Jessica has an Associate’s degree in Accounting from Edison Community College. She and her husband, Kirk, have five children, Thomas, Casen, Brennan, Easton & Lynnlee. She enjoys reading, shopping and cheering her children on at their various activities.
JULIE STRAIT has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, and started her career at a local mining company, American Aggregates, which had over 50 operations in three states. After 15 years she left the Controller position to be a Homemaker Mom for a few years during which time she became involved with the local arts organization. She worked with Darke County Center for the Arts for 13 years, was Executive Director for 8 of those years, and still serves on its Board of Directors. Julie now co-owns and manages Bread of Life Bookstore in downtown Greenville, along with working part-time during tax season at Fry & Company, CPA’s. Additionally, she is on the Board of Directors of Greenville Federal Bank and a member of their audit committee. Julie has been married to her husband, Scott, for 26 years, and they have 4 children and 3 grandchildren. They are involved in a local church and love to spend free time with family.
GINGER THOMAS started at Fry & Company in January, 1995 as the receptionist before moving into her current role as payroll specialist in 1998. Ginger also prepares individual tax returns, client billings, and numerous other tasks for the firm. Ginger and her husband Kelly have two grown daughters and two grandchildren.
TERESA KAGEY started at Fry & Company in January, 1970. Teresa does the assembling of tax returns during tax season. She is active at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ as a deacon and treasurer of the women’s group. She is married to Dan, has 2 children, 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
MELISSA WILSON joined Fry & Company in October 2018 as the Administrative Assistant. Following a 22-year career in banking, she enjoyed working full-time for the past five years in children’s ministry at two local churches. Melissa has been married to her husband, Brian, for 27 years, and they are busy raising four sons. She enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and supporting her boys in all of their activities.
